Lil’ King was a full blooded Beagle. His blue tick color is not common and made people think he was a mix. He was born on Valentine’s Day in 1999 and his dad named him after a Beagle named King that he knew when he was growing up. It turned out to be a fitting name. King was so wild as a pup, that he was registered as Little King Chaos! He was totally his daddy’s boy and would hate to see him leave the house without him. He holds the title as the world’s best beggar. He learned early on that force wouldn’t get it. Instead, he would just stare long and hard with his saddest Beagle eyes. Gently putting his head or a paw on dad’s leg got him every time. With mom, he usually had to work harder by laying on the back of the couch and resting his head on her shoulder. He earned two titles; Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog. Petting and treats from all his fans… what could be better? He also took his job of teaching the art of begging to the other dogs very seriously. His favorite activity was laying in a sun beam or curling up on dad’s pillow or lap. King was helped over the bridge on 11-19-14 after struggling with cancer. It tore a hole in our hearts and his dad still misses “going hunting” with his best bud (visiting drive through windows).
